UCentral News took second place nationally in the Broadcast Education Association’s 2021 Festival of Media Arts competition in the TV Newscast category. They competed against over 250 other U.S. colleges and universities. The only university to beat the team was the Cronkite School at the University of Arizona, and yes, that means UCO beat OU.

This event is held every year between Oklahoma colleges and universities, with students submitting their best audio and video productions to be judged by media professionals from around the country.
