In March 2024, Edmond police, Sergeant Torrey Rowe and Officer Josh Lindsey responded to an Edmond home in reference to a young man, with cardiac issues who is not breathing or conscious Sergeant Rowe immediately took over CPR and Officer Lindsey stabilized the patient’s head and opened the airway. Both officers continued to perform CPR until Edmond fire arrived and took over once the patient was loaded into the ambulance Sergeant Rowe and Officer Lindsey requested permission to escort the ambulance to the hospital due to traffic congestion it is without a doubt the young man would not have survived if it wasn’t for the continued efforts of these two officers, for these actions, they have both been awarded the Lifesaving Award.
