UCO CJ FBI LEEDAThe University of Central Oklahoma School of Criminal Justice and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association, Inc. (FBI-LEEDA) are collaborating to provide enhanced educational opportunities for aspiring and seasoned criminal justice professionals.

FBI-LEEDA, a private, nonprofit organization, was formed in 1991 to provide a vehicle for continued networking and educational opportunities for law enforcement executives throughout the United States, U.S. territories and foreign countries.

The collaboration opens avenues for both FBI-LEEDA members and UCO students. UCO students will gain graduate credit upon successful completion of FBI-LEEDA courses, creating a seamless pathway for academic advancement.

“We are excited about this partnership as it joins the forces of two premier educational providers to benefit students and law enforcement executives,” said Elizabeth Maier, Ph.D., interim dean of UCO’s College of Liberal Arts.

This collaboration demonstrates the commitment of both UCO and FBI-LEEDA to fostering excellence in criminal justice education, providing a unique blend of academic rigor and practical expertise. The collaboration is poised to make a lasting impact on the education and professional development of criminal justice professionals, further solidifying the reputation of the UCO School of Criminal Justice as a leader in the field.

Established in 1974, the criminal justice program at UCO is the oldest in Oklahoma and has provided leadership within the criminal justice field for decades. The UCO School of Criminal Justice, housed within the UCO College of Liberal Arts, offers three undergraduate degree programs—general, police and corrections—and two graduate degrees—Master of Arts in criminal justice management and administration, and crime and intelligence analysis. Each program prepares students for a wide range of careers in the criminal justice field.
