UCO English Welcomes Zachary Scalzo as Artist-In-Residence

Zachary Scalzo joins UCO’s Department of English as an Artist-in Residence. Scalzo earned his M.F.A. in Drama– Playwriting from the University of Calgary in 2020. He also holds an M.A. in Comparative Literature from Indiana University and an M.A. in Comparative Literature– Translation Studies from Florida Atlantic University.
Two plays by Scalzo (“Us” and “Taking Shelter”) have had staged readings at the Alchemy Festival of Student Work in Calgary.
This fall, Scalzo will be teaching CSDY 3573 Fundamentals of Creative Writing II and CSDY 4910 Seminar in Creative Studies: Playwriting.
