Artist in Residence Awarded Fellowship for Memoir

Dr. Wendy Barnes, Artist in Residence in the Department of English, was recently awarded a New Jersey Council for the Arts fellowship for her memoir The Hunger Year. Dr. Barnes will be reading, on April 21, as part of the University of Oklahoma’s Mark Allen Everett Poetry Series.
Barnes recently participated in a reading of her collection poetry titled “Landscape with Bloodfeud” for the CLA New Faculty Lecture Series. A recording of that reading can be found at the CLA Youtube page.
