Recently, three students, Fortune Mawuena Azilagbetor (pictured), Janet Nyamweya, and Junior Philip Mwaura Njoroge, represented UCO at the annual L. Frances P. Liddell student policy debate hosted virtually during the American Society for Public Administration Conference of Minority Public Administrators.
Fortune was on the winning team, stating that, “In all, the insights I have gained from this debate have exceeded my expectations. Great educational experience, I’m soaking it all in! Can’t wait to participate in the next session in 2022 at New Orleans. I would also like to use this opportunity to encourage my colleagues to partake in this debate if called upon to do so. Thank you, Dr. Overman, for this golden opportunity!”
