UCO Ranked in Top 50 Master’s Counseling Programs

2021 is the 10th anniversary of the Addictions Counseling program at UCO, and it has been ranked as one of the Top 50 Master’s Counseling Programs in the nation. According to Dr. J Keith Killian, director of the Addictions Counseling Program, “To be ranked among other top-tier institutions by the top counseling publication only goes to show that we provide our students the opportunity to develop the skills they need to not only excel in therapeutic areas, but also in the area of social advocacy for better treatment and facilities. Leadership and management skills will be stressed through Central’s addiction counseling program in order to keep pace with the field’s quickly evolving standards of best practices and legal and political changes, which prepares our graduates for a successful career.”
